Competitive pressures in the petroleum industry prompt
refiners and upgraders to apply increasingly more sophisticated
tools to optimize their operations. Process optimization
also has energy efficiency and environmental implications.
Process modeling involves the development of a breakthrough
technology that allows consistent and comprehensive descriptions
of various refinery and upgrader processes for the purpose
of optimization. Our process modeling activities take
advantage of advanced characterization methods, as well
as a revolutionary mathematical cat-feed hydrotreating
model, both developed and tested at NCUT. We currently
provide services in off- and on-line process optimization.
